The Select Medicare Coordination Plan provides you with a choice when you obtain health care services. You may choose, at the point at which you need care, to go to health care providers contracted with the Plan or to go to any provider of your choice. This gives you more flexibility to choose where you wish to go for care. If you prefer, you can make a different choice each time you need to seek care.
Where you receive services will affect how your Benefits are paid, and how much your out-of-pocket cost will be. The choice is yours. You may choose:
Exclusive Care Network – this is a Network consisting of Physicians, Medical Groups and Hospitals in Riverside County that have contracted with Exclusive Care to provide Covered Services to Plan Members. By using this Network you receive the highest level of Benefits the Plan offers, which results in the lowest out-of-pocket costs for you.
Non-Network Providers – these are providers who are not contracted with Exclusive Care. Benefits are paid at a lower level than when you use the Exclusive Care Network providers and your out-of-pocket costs are higher.
